Description
Acrylic on canvas 36x48 in. After spending a lot of time in the Arizona desert and mountains, I come back to the studio in Tucson and paint stuff like this.

It probably took about a week altogether, with maybe 75% done the first day. This one flowed and seemed to compose itself. After the mood was set, I was able to take a small sable brush and play with the details and symbolism for a few days. One comment said Arizona doesn't look like this. That's not important. For me, Arizona feels like this. And there you have it. A "Visionary Painting".
